Company History
When Greg Pink and his father George were manufacturers reps they saw the opportunity for
distributors to offer replacement lens covers instead of replacing
entire fixtures. Saving customers money always builds loyalty and from
those humble beginnings in 1977 Fluorolite has developed into the most
capable replacement plastics manufacturer in the country.
Diane
(Greg’s wife) and Greg started the business in George Pink’s basement,
and quickly began experiencing significant growth confirming that we
were onto something successful.
Many extruded parts made by
OEM's are very thin and often broken by the time the customer opens the
box. Fluorolite has a better idea: mold replacement parts out of commercial grade material and offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. This policy, still in effect today, has been Fluorolite’s cornerstone. Today,
Fluorolite occupies space in the historic Saxonville neighborhood of Framingham, Massachusetts (See images to the right). Diane remembers: "When we started molding lenses we were presented with many challenges and were able to develop innovative molding techniques allowing us to be the only one in the industry to mold 4’ long hooks on our wrap lenses."
For over 30 years Fluorolite has specialized in forming replacement plastic lenses for virtually all fluorescent lighting fixtures; new, old, or discontinued.
Fluorolite is now into it’s third generation as a family run business, with Jason Pink appointed as Chief Operating Officer. All of us at Fluorolite look forward to many more years of helping our customers with all of their lighting needs.
