Fluorescent Tube Guards are an easy and economical choice in areas where lamp breakage and/or U.V. filtration is a concern. They simply slide over your existing bulbs to protect against any shattered glass and control the release of toxins.

Fluorolite Plastics provides an innovative dimmer guard that can be slid over the existing light bulb. This dimmer is adjustable for whatever density of light you find comfortable.

Q5: Do tube guards block UV rays?
Yes, all tube guards have certain UV blockage, the regular tube guards are mostly below 350 nanometer. The special UV tube guards block up to 99% of harmful UV radiation, and are above 395 nanometers for clear, 505 to 540 nanometer for yellow and amber, and photometric red have an absolute cutoff of 650 nanometers, protecting sensitive materials and displays. There are also hospital green tube guards for 480-550 nanometer UV blockage.
